Background

My work aims to disentangle how climate variation influences the dynamics of high-latitude pelagic ecosystems, using both data-driven and mechanistic modelling. My PhD focused on climate effects on zooplankton dynamics in the Norwegian Sea - Barents Sea region, and was a part of NorMER, the Nordic Centre for Research on Marine Ecosystems and Resources under Climate Change.

My role in SUSTAIN

As a part of Sustain, I will investigate the spatial and time dependent distribution of cod eggs and larvae in the Barents Sea. The aim of the work is to shed light on the relative roles of climate and stock demography in shaping the spawning distribution of Northeast Arctic cod.
