Background
I am a researcher at CBD/SUSTAIN, with population and community ecology as main interests. My research focuses mainly on climate effects and trophic interactions in the terrestrial high Arctic (Svalbard).
My role in SUSTAIN
With particular emphasis on the Svalbard terrestrial ecosystem, I aim to (1) improve our understanding of direct and indirect (i.e. operating through other species) climate effects on the dynamics of species and communities; (2) quantify how effects of past and current harvest on population dynamics interact with (i.e. depend on) direct and indirect effects of climate change; and (3) provide predictions and specific management advice given different climate scenarios.
